Name of the position: Institute Postdoctoral Fellow.
Salary: Rs. 47,000 – 60,000 + HRA as per norms (per month).
Qualifications: The applicant should have

1. A Ph.D. degree in a relevant subject, such as total positivity, matrix analysis and spectral
   graph theory.
2. A strong background in matrix theory and graph theory.

Candidates who have submitted their thesis in the mentioned fields are equally eligible.

Apart from research, the applicant will be expected to contribute to other academic activities of the Institute including teaching.

Duration: The appointment is for one year (possibility of extension for another year on the basis of performance).

Qualifications: The applicant should have  

1. A Ph.D. in Mathematics with expertise in the areas of analytic number theory and special functions. Knowledge of modular forms is desired.
2. The candidate must at least have his/her Ph.D. thesis submitted if the PhD degree has not already been awarded.

Apart from research, the applicant may be expected to contribute to other academic activities of the institute including teaching.

IIT Gandhinagar invites applications for the post of Post-Doctoral Research Fellow under a major project on History of Mathematics in India (HoMI). The selected candidate (1) must have demonstrated exemplary academic record and research potential (see necessary qualifications below); (2) will conduct research at IIT Gandhinagar in collaboration with internal and external mentors / experts; (3) is expected to help the Institute with various departmental and teaching-related activities.

The discipline of Mathematics at IIT Gandhinagar invites applications for the IIT Gandhinagar Early-Career Fellowship (IITGN-ECF). ECF fellows will work with faculty members on well-identified research problems that lead to significant research contributions.
Research areas of interest include Algebraic Geometry, Analytic Number Theory, Arithmetic Geometry, Commutative algebra, Diophantine geometry, Dynamical systems, Elliptic partial differential equations, Fluid dynamics, Mathematical modelling, Operator algebras, Ordinary differential equations, Probability theory and stochastic processes, Probabilistic number theory, Quantum groups, and Special functions.
